22oz. bottle purchased at the Brattleboro Co-op on 8/6/2011. Served in a nonic. Pours a hazy mahogany with a rocky, 1.5 inch cream-colored head. Thin, delicate strands of lacing were revealed during the tasting. Nose expresses an earthy quality up-front, followed by some chocolate notes. Taste is earthy, reveals char, toffee, dull spicy notes and a faint metallic presence towards the finish. Mouthfeel was light in body and somewhat watery with a carbonation that fell just short of lively. A fair example of the style, but not much to write home about. Somewhat lacking in flavor, but might make a decent session beer if served off the beer engine.

Bright mahogany brown color with a tan head that quickly subsides to a ring of foam and leaves very light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of dark bread and a touch of raisin. flavor is malty and bready, with a bit of tanginess. Fairly dry, clean finish.
Medium body with a zesty carbonation.

I'm proud of Rock Art for brewing this beer. Pete's Greens is an essential part of the organic produce landscape in Vermont and it makes sense for other local businesses to help them in their time of need.
Pours a reddish-brown color with a thin head into my glass. Perhaps red as a beet? Not quite but you get my drift.
Sweet malt with a slight hint of molasses/brown sugar. Very inviting to the senses.
Wow. Sweet, crisp malt upfront with hints of cocoa, molasses and graininess. Very subtle.
Lingering flavors on the palate (grainy malt, molasses) with a decent finish. Nothing out of place here.
Wow. Proof that a beer can be extremely drinkable without being high in ABV. I miss it when Rock Art brews lower ABV beers, hence my enjoyment of this one. Well worth a try!
