De color cobrizo, con una espuma fina y alta de poca retención. Ligera y de baja carbonatación. Aroma herbáceo, malta y caramelo. En boca tiene matices dulces (caramelo) y especiados.

From the 11.2 oz bottle in a snifter via Savor Growl in Columbus. This unique Christmas ale
pours a muddled lightly cloudy red tinged brown with orange touches and a nice head of
off white khaki foam that is thick and long lasting finally fading to a thick ring and thick big
bubbled layer with nice lacing. Nose of orange zest, light spice notes, brown sugars, honey,
and subtle hops. Flavors surpass the nose with orange zest and mild ginger mingling with
light chocolate notes that are touched with brown sugars and mild toasted malt notes that
are balanced with a touch of herbal hops. Plum and candy notes chow more with warmth.
Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium carbonation, and a lightly warming sweet finish.
Overall, a SOLID warmer that I would look for again. Nice.
Cheers

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown/amber color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of dark fruits, spices, some sweetness. Taste is spices, dark fruits, malts, anise, light alcohol is present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

i liked this one, a cool score from the discount bin, of course, its almost summer and this is brewed for christmas, but its a nice brew, more german than spanish in my mind, with a mild spice profile, some real oxidation, and a caramelized malt thing that really adds some depth. looks great in the glass, cloudy as it is, the carbonation is fierce and the head rises well above the glass. its white and full of huge bubbles, and it barely relaxes at all. i dont really get the xmas part, it just sort of seems like a bock, or a dopplebock, or something german, it has that kind of grain thing, with buttered rum and toffee flavors, and very little spice. i love the mouthfeel, with all those bubbles and a lot of body, i can see it being uplifting in the winter, and quite spirited over the holidays. it doesnt lose much of that effect this time of year, although i think oxidation has reduced its full potential. worth picking up even in its current state.

330ml bottle. Snifter glass. Enjoyed on jul´12. Brownish color, dark amber to the light. Light beige froth, quickly dissipated crown. Complex aroma profile: toasted sweet malts, candies, intense anise fragrance, hints of fudge chocolate & ripe strawberries. Sweet & gentle toasted maltiness. Sparkling sensation. Brandy notes & anise. Subtle spicy & kind warming alcohol. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Subtle earthy & woody bitterness overwhelmed by sweet & alcoholic flavors. Sweety long finish. Spiced & warm aftertaste.
