I am the first to admit that I like big beerhalls. But this is one of the least inviting big beernonhalls I've ever been to. Glad that the beer might be improving; when I was there the Amber66 was not good at all. I really shouldn't be a judge if the beer makers change all that often, but I was compelled to comment on the atmosphere.

The place is just too big-mall-building huge. It lacks charm and distinction: it feels like somebody just ripped the innards out of a Wal-Mart and threw in a brewery, pool tables and bars. Big hollow loud feeling, populated by loud talkers and snappy dressers. It used to be a strip club and maybe that karma just seeped into me as well. Again, maybe this is your kind of place, but it sure isn't mine. It's the kind of place that hires people because they are attractive, and that should make up for the fact they're so gosh darn slow.

Well the server told me right off that their current beers aren't as good as when their former brewmaster was there. He had a Master's in chemistry and had trained as a brewmaster as well. He was right about that as only the stout and "Amber 66" were very worthy. Now the food, that's a different story. We had Chicken Alfredo Fettucini and it was great. Huge serving, served with a great soup or salad and loads of garlic bread. A little pricey, but the service and atmosphere balanced with the cost. Super location just off I-15 and on Route 66. Try it, and the stout or Amber 66.

One has to keep a scorecard on this micro. when they first opened the beer was good, not great but good, then it went downhill. Next a new brewer came in and it went back to good again and then the same thing happened the beer quality went to poor actually from last summer to year end terrible. Now a new brewer is there and the quality is improving quickly. The food is sort of the same story it is always good but sometimes it is excellent.
Its too bad because the location is convenient and it has a comfortable feel inside.
