Rustic country inn and brewpub a block off the main drag of a somewhat touristy little town. U-shaped bar seats 10 or so, with a few tables about the room, and a patio in the back courtyard. A dozen beers on tap. Friendly bartender.

Visited with Da Boss and had a very late lunch and a couple of pints on 2-11-22 .
Vibe was nice, rustic log cabin feeling, relaxed and chill. Pretty busy early Friday afternoon as we had to wait for a table for 1/2 hour, so we enjoyed a pint at the bar and took it all in while watching the PHX open. Bar had seating for maybe 15-20. Taps were all visible and we saw three chalkboards with their 12 house beers and a cider.
Quality was solid as i enjoyed the first WCIPA that i just went with it for round two. Da Boss enjoyed her light lager as she volunteered to be the DD for the two-hour drive home.
Service was solid given how busy they were. Bartender was friendly as was our able server. Did not test her beer knowledge given i stuck with my first one for round two.
Selection was solid with 12 house brews.
Food was very good from my perspective as we split a Ruben and a spicy chicken sandwich. Da Boss got some heartburn, so she was not pleased but like the flavors.
Overall a good experience and will go back there again next time we go to Grandfather Mountain!

Good beer, good food, good service.
Cool place to hang, inside or out.
Plenty of parking.
Nearby shops.
Convenient to town.
Other nearby restaurants.
If in town I would definitely go back.

Very friendly with a local watering hole feel, and great pub food. Their seasonal selections have been impressive.

Stopped by as a side trip to check out the beer and grab a bite of food. The brewery has been on location about two years, I am to understand, although the owners have been brewing for many years.
This is a small place, brew house, BnB type inn, and small restaurant all on a small plot of land enough to hold all three, barely. Rustic mountain feel, southern hospitality, good food, and beer to boot!
Granted, it wasn't busy when we got there, but friendly service got us a full flight of beer and an appetizer in good order. The beers were solid, if generally unexciting. The selection spanned a nice spectrum from Czech Pilsner to Belgian Strong, including an IPA, a porter, and a stout.
The food was quite good, and seemed much more than normal pub food. The food selection wasn't large, but they had a beef, fish, and chicken option as well as a couple salads. The cost is a tad pricey, I'd expect, for the area.
Really glad we decided to stop by, was an enjoyable afternoon sipping a few beers.
