On tap in a tulip at the Pine Box.
The beer is a cloudy amber, with a substantial head and lots of lacing. The aroma is fruity and abundant. It's on the edge of grapefruit, but that's not quite it. I guess that's passion fruit?
The flavor is a lovely combo of the passion fruit, mild tartness, and a funky yeastiness. The beer has a medium body and good carbonation.
Overall, this is a really fine wild ale. There are a handful of breweries in Washington and Oregon making much sought after wild ales, sours, and saisons. Big Al doesn't get the hype, but their latest Time Capsule is worthy of being in the same conversation. Look for it!
