A: Poured a clear light oranigsh color with good carbonation and a nice white head
S: What nose?
T: Some hints at citrus and caramel but beyond that it tasted generic and like it was a homebrew.
M: A little bit of citrus, floral going on, some hop bite
D: Pass. Not sure why I keep getting Big Al beers. Unimpressive across the board

bottle at Mondiale 2010. Cloudy grapefruit coloured body with a little white head, light enough to show rising carbonation bubbles. Lighter mouythfeel. Lots of little lace rings. Mild hop flavour, drinkable enough, malts right there. Not bad for this level of abv.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a hazy, golden-yellow with a 1/2 inch of just off-white head that dissipated quickly and left just more than minimal lacing.
A balanced, neutral aroma. Malt and hops are both present without either dominating. The flavors, likewise, are even and balanced. A smooth, gentle malt flavor greets you first, with just a gentle kiss of hops on the finish.
The body is very nice, smooth and coats the tongue nicely without being sticky. Drinkability is excellent, this beer could easily become a long term companion. Overall, PCP is a tasty, easy-drinking brew that's worth seeking out. Another job well done by a rising star in the PNW brewing world.

An assertive and charismatic ale showing much personality in the form of specialty malts and Saaz-like Sterling hops. The ale is gently hazed honey-water amber with modest carbonation, a light head, and ample lace. Bittering is stern and a workable measure of diacetyl intrudes. But Papa Charlie succeeds for its willingness to break the pale ale mold and achieve drinkability without extravagance.
