Poured a nice orangish gold color with good carbonation and a small white head. Nose is booze, pepper, spice and belgian yeast, hops. Taste is booze, belgian yeast, candy, hops and a pretty full feel. Mouthfeel is booze, coating, throwing off CO2 a tad. Overall, not to bad.

Poured into Chalice. Poured a hazy golden-orange color, minimal head with no lacing. The expected spice/yeast flavors are very subdued in the aroma. The flavors deliver the expected spice kick, with a very interesting tangyness on the finish that I couldn't quite place. The body is not as full or well-rounded as the best of the style, but still above average. An easy drinking Tripel, having a few in a sitting wouldn't be a waste of time. I believe this the first time this brewery has tackled this style and I think with time I suspect their version of the style will only get better. If you see this beer I recommend it.
