This beer is basically a blend of the breweries Scotch and Imperial IPAs.
Served in straight pint glass. Poured a reddish-amber color (leaning more towards red) with just under an inch of just off-tan head that dissipated semi-quickly and left a little better than minimal lacing.
The aroma has a nice blend of hops and malt with neither dominating. The flavor is quite the surprise, very bold hops and strong malt flavors fight for attention in your tongue. There is a sharp (almost, but not quite, metallic) taste on the finish.
The body suffers from the battle of the tongue, it's neither thin nor full while sort of both. Drinkability is also at odds with itself. You're going to have to decide that one on your own when you try this beer. And you should try it.
