On to the review:
On-tap at Big Al Brewing. Poured to a standard pint glass (this review from notes taken 7/24/11).
A - Pours pale gold and crystal clear. White 1/2 finger head composed of small to medium bubbles. A little retention, specks of lace. Several streams of carbonation.
S - Hints of melon, just-ripening banana, and orange, underpinned with an earthy peanut scent. A bright sunny wheat scent rides over the top of it all.
T - Honey citrus sweetness fades into a moderate light malt character. A mild non-ripe banana hint combines with an mild earthy bitterness for a well-balanced flavor mix. A hint of cool melon starts about 2/3 through the flavor profile. Finishes with a sweet melony wheatness.
M - Crisp, with tingly carbonation at the front of the tongue. Light to medium body with a slightly dry finish.
D - Excellent! Crisp and refreshing, though not thirst-quenching due to the slightly dry finish. You can drink a ton of these, and at 4.5% ABV, it's truly sessionable. A great hot weather beer or beach beer.
