An Imperial CDA, but there's no category for Imperial/Double versions here on the site. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a nearly solid black, just a bit of translucence on the edges, and a bit over a quarter-inch of tan head that had very good retention and lacing.
Lots of big roasted notes in the front of the aroma, and a surprisingly low hop profile for a beer with 80 IBU's. Same deal on the tongue, much more like a Porter than an IPA, even though the whole CDA style is kind of a mutt.
The body is way thin for a Porter, thinner than any other CDA I can think of, and thin even for a "light"IPA. Drinkability was very good, I could easily have a couple of these, even though I'm not generally a fan of CDA's. Overall, a pretty nice brew. It doesn't really fit any niche, but it's certainly worth a shot if you see it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
