The Queen of Hearts is a Lambic style ale fermented with Brettamonyces, a type of wild yeast native to the Senne valley in Belgium. She has been hiding in red wine barrels with blackberries for the past 8 months, but don't let the blackberries in this beer fool you! Her majesty got rid of the sugary sweet flavors in the fruit for a more unique, dry, and refreshing taste. The wild yeast gives it a slightly sour, earthy character.

32 growler into a small glass
L: Amber with a strong purple presence, small lilac head - beauty
A: Funk,tart, blackberry jelly
T: Tart and juicy, a bit of oak
F: nice carbonation, thin, refreshing
O: a great take on a fruited lambic from an unlikely location. St. Elias has been making under the radar "Lambic styles" for several years. Wish they were more accessible- a real treat
