Dark murky brown with active bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass, ultimately meeting in a massive brown head. Wonderful lacing.
Nose jumps right into the chocolate vat with hints of acrid coffee and an almost-ashy hearth. Finish is in the direction of roasty grains.
Less chocolate than the nose, but still a hint towards sweetness. More dry/ashy with just the peaks touching the cocoa powder sweetness. Finish is coffee bitter.
Moderate carbonation brings some depth, and a medium body coats the tongue more nicely than I expected.
