It's a Russian Imperial Stout, brewed with traditional English malts and hopped with both First Gold and East Kent Goldings hop varieties before being aged for 8 months in used Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels. Look for flavors of roasted barley, vanilla, and whiskey. But watch out: at 13% Alcohol By Volume the Black Widow has a real bite!

On draft into a snifter at the brewery.
Pitch black with almost no head - served ice cold. Amazing on the nose - whiskey, vanilla, chocolate, alcohol. Taste is a bit of a let down - long lasting astringent bitterness - a bit thin for the style. Good effort - worth a pour if you're in the area b
