Irish style stout. dark, smooth, chocolate flavors blend with hints of earthy English hop notes. Brewed with pale, roasted barley, flaked barley and hopped with traditional English goldings.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild spider web lace. The aroma had some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, Baker’s chocolate, a touch of vanilla bean and a gentle roasty coffee bean. The flavor smoothly brings together the previously mentioned aromas flowing nicely between the roast and the sweet. Some sweet grains. Low key sweetness smooths out the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Smooth creamy feel along my tongue. Overall, very nicely done Irish dry stout that I would have again if I could.

A great sweet Irish milk stout. I could drink this all day long. Good bitterness with s touch of hops balances the beer well

Appearance: lovely, dark brown, almost black. Hold it up to the sun and there is a deep ruby tint. Fair, creamy, off-white head, but could be better if not served sooo cold.
Smell: deep roasted scent, hint of coffee and smoke.
Taste: mimics the aroma. Pretty average all the way around. Had to wait for it to warm up some in order to pick up any of the common stout flavors though.
Mouthfeel: of all their taps, this one is the one I keep getting. I feel it has the best mouthfeel, according to style. It's carbonated, but not overly so making it smooth going down.
Drinkability: I drank two of them with my salad and pizza. Without the food I probably could have put down one more. It's thinner than the usual irish stout, but that improves it's drinkability.
