Brewed with the same yeast strain that he used to produce his excellent Sunfire Saison back in June, this is a formidable beer, coming in at 10.75% ABV. True to the style, adjunct sugars were used to keep the body lighter than you would expect for such a strong brew. It was slightly cloudy in the glass, but the aroma spoke strongly of the Belgian yeast used, with plenty of earthy, spicy notes. On the palate it was smooth, with hopping robust enough to stand up to all this malt and alcohol. This brew is fantastic, so long as you remember to enjoy it in moderation, which can be tough, given how delicious it is. The beer is only for sale by the 6 oz glass; no pints or growlers.
