From bottle, pours a dark brown amber with a tan head. Aroma caramel, toffee, citrus, pine, hop resins. Taste rye malt, caramel, toffee, slight roasted note, citrus, grapefuit, woody pine, hop resin, spicy, earthy bitterness. Very nice.

Pours deep red, aromas are mainly of malts, and the beer is not to hoppy overall, despite being dead fresh. The rye makes an appearance late in the piece as it warms, and there is a warming element to it all, almost akin to an English Strong Ale.
Have to disagree with West Coast label, as it isn't thin at all !!!
Nice and really quite different.
