Black with no ruby draft pour at the microbrewery; beige head with creamy cap; good retention and lacing; enough clarity to see bottom of cap. Aromas of roasted chocolate malt, and toffee candy. Flavors of bittersweet roasted chocolate malt with toffee overtones; more toffee and caramel as liquid warms, with a lactose finish - but not sweet. Lite to moderate carbonation; medium plus mouthfeel - almost chewy. Overall, roasted bitter linger with creamy chocolate and toffee make for one extremely satisfying Porter.
