Business trip to Sydney, and purchased this beer in a bottle at the brewery. 500ml bottle.
Look - pours out to a light amber color. Small head that quickly dissipates.
Smell - strong scent of tropical fruits, including mango, pineapple, passion fruit, and some citrus. A complex mixture of hops are also detectable.
Taste - a strong wave of hops immediately hits the tongue, with little to no fruity flavor. Malts come through after the bitterness. Excellent finish with a creamy and slightly sweet aftertaste.
Feel - very complex, medium mouthfeel and average carbonation. Definitely feel the booze at 9% ABV.
Overall - the beer is a bit too hoppy for me for this time of the year (although it is currently Spring here), but it's not bad. While I've had better DIPAs, I appreciate the complex flavors and the excellent finish. Recommended for hopheads.
