Look - golden hue, foam head that quickly dissipates.
Smell - lemony, a bit of hops.
Taste - crisp and refreshing, though light in flavor. A bit watery, but still good.
Feel - light bodied, medium-high carbonation, and easy drinking. To be expected of this style.
Overall - it's not the most flavorful Kolsch, but it fits the style and is a nice and easy drinking beer. Decent for the style, and one of the better beers I've had in Australia.

Straw with a few
light, white floaties. Topped with 4 fingers of light head, done to style. A few small, slow rising bubbles makes it look really German.
Smells of malt, yeast, and a hint of white wine and clean linen.
The taste follows the nose, with a lack of perfectly clean smoothness that the top reps in this style have.
Light body, moderate
carbonation, and a clean, dry finish.
Drank in Scarborough, Western Australia, August 24th, 2017. Overall a well done representation of the style.

On tap at the brewery. Light, but missing most of the kolsch style. No crispness, no hop bite. As noted earlier, kind of bland, leans towards the Aussie palate of bland lagers

I had a 330ml bottle.
Appearance: clear and light Amber. Looks good. Clean white head but dissipates quickly.
Aroma: quite trpoical fruity and citrus aroma coming though which was not what I expected. It reminded more of an APA on that front.
Flavour: very nice, refreshing and well carbonated. Very sessionable. More malty grains on the plate and fruitiness in the aroma not all that apparent on the palate but no negative here at all.
Overall: a great beer I have wanted to try for a long time. Was not sure exactly of the style given I have not tried many Kolsch before from the native so nothing to compare it with but the floral happiness is there for sure and nice clean character of a lager is there too. Can't be too far off. Well done. Glad a bought a 6 pack!

The Kolsch was like no other German-style beer I've had before. It had the citrus flavor of a Blue Moon or Sam Adam's Summer Ale, but a hoppy flavor that comes in on the finish that features a nice balance of the sweet lemon flavor.

Format: standard 330mL dark brown bottle, reasonable craft label.
Appearance: pours a clear light gold with a decent and strong half-finger of off-white head. Decent lacing also.
Aroma: some clean cereal grain aromas and a touch of fruit and floral. Quite light, but nice all the same.
Taste: pretty much follows the nose - very clean and quality cereal grains with that touch of floral and fruit again. Quality.
Aftertaste: the flavours hang about for a time - very easy drinking.
Mouth feel: medium in body with a moderate carbonation that brings the flavours through quite smoothly.
Overall: a decent version of the Kölsch - clean in feel and with a good flavour profile. Pretty damn good for AU$60 a case.
