A - Poured a dark amber colour with two fingered frothy tanned head that retains well

S - Some tropical aromas on the nose including pineapple, a little grainy with a hint of caramel and toffee.

T - Not a lot of hoppiness but get a little with sweet candy and toffee, with a mild bitter but fairly well balanced finish

M - Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation

O - I actually don't mind it. Doesn't really blow you away as an IPA but nonetheless is balanced very nicely

Pint from East Village, Balmain. Reviewed from notes.

Murky dark amber with a beige head. Strong retention and good lacing.

Sweet caramel, richer toffee and barleywine-esque malt character is the name of the game. Hops are hard to find.

Flavours are similar, however some hop character is evident via moderate resinous pine and orange.

Body is right for a DIPA. Suitably big, with light buzzy carbonation cutting through nicely.

Not sure how this is considered a DIPA, becasue there's so little hop character here. Basically if you took young Sierra-Nevada Bigfoot and pulled the hops out of it, this is what it would taste like. In fairness, this keg has probably been sitting around for some time and may be well past its best.
