On tap at the brewery/restaurant.
Pours nearly black, with mahogany highlights visible when back lit. Has a full creamy tan head that coated about 70% of the glass as it was emptied.
Aroma is a bit hoppy for a stout, but the extra hops don't show up in the taste which is full of earthy dark malts. Slight sour (a demerit IMO); this tangy nature affects its mouthfeel. Starts slightly sweet and turns a tad bitter in the finish, which has hints of coffee.
O - an interesting variant on a stout, with exceptionally rich and earthy flavor.
