As an IPA this beer is a failure. The malts, which are robust and smoky, play the staring role. The hops are far too low in the profile for an IPA. If this were categorized as a brown ale, it would get a decent score, but no one buy's an IPA expecting malty sweetness to bury the hops.

Meh. Very bland compared to better IPAs from Ohio (and elsewhere).

Another whim buy during my Ohio buying trip. This one pours s very cloudy deep reddish copper color with a thick and lasting off white head. The aroma is very sweet with lots of malt and almost off putting. The flavor follows suit. Very dissapointing and unpleasant. Will not be trying this one again.

Bottle > Mason Jar

A - Pours out cloudy amber with lots of yeast floating around at the bottom, 1 finger of foamy white head, little lacing.
S - Aroma is really underwhelming, you get a little burnt caramel some dried flowers, tart apple, some sour grapes as well. But its all really hard to detect
T - This is where things get interesting, there's this big toasted malt kinda thing goin on, almost woody, then there's a big tart apple, grape, pineapple grapefruit kinda sweetness, a little bit of a biscuity malt as well, very bitter on the end.
M - Full but oddly refreshing, a little chewy and dry bitterness lingers.
O - Despite the poor ratings, I really enjoyed this, its just something different. I really dig the nice malt complexity here and the sour fruit that compliments it, almost yin and yang kinda deal. I'd gladly have this again on tap if available even though its not the best.
I also drank this while eating some home made apple pie with fresh apples right outside the house, perfect compliment!!!

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass.
Cloudy amber in color, with a decent head of light tan foam.
Aroma-Earthy hop notes
Taste-Toasted malt, earthy hops, underlying bitterness, and an off-putting tanginess that leaves things a bit out of whack. No freshness date apparent so don't know if that could be the cause. Would not seek out again.
