Pours dark and thick like used motor oil. Taste is dark malt, almost burnt, but thin. It’s okay. It’s a good beer, in the sense that all beers are good beers. Don’t think too hard about it, and you’ll be fine with this one. You’ll finish the 6 pack either way.

Black color. Medium-sized, beige head. Coffee, roasted malt in the aroma. Smooth taste with light sweetness and roasted bitterness all the way through.

Had on tap at Brewery and picked up growler. Review is combination of experiences:
Look: fresh from tap was dark brown with light tan head that lingers; growler is similar color but limited head.
Smell: similar from both tap and growler with notes of roast, chocolate, oats, and a coconut like note.
Taste: again is similar for both tap and growler with roast, chocolate, oats, coconut like flavor, limited hops.
Mouthfeel: on tap was much fresher and carbonated with moderate sweetness and lingering bitterness; growler is flat, with similar sweetness, but not quite as bitter/biting.
Overall a good stout with a unique flavor profile - interesting lingering coconut like aroma/flavor.
