Consumed on 1/24/10 from the Ushiku, Ibaraki brewery.
A - A light beige head. Clear but dark soy sauce color. Some lacing. A bit of after carbonation.
S - Rough, meaty spices. Rawhide. Lots of smells like an arabic spice market. Protein shake. Nice but a bit more time in the cask and this one will smell like Santa's reindeer.
T - Not like the smells. Bock hops aren't really there. Looks like a bock, taste more like a dunkel.
M - Surprisingly good for a Japanese micro. Well bodied but still just a bit of thinness to it.
D - Pretty drinkable but it gets minus point for not tasting like a bock or doppelbock.
