On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Pitch murky black in color with no light shall pass, it comes with massive silky tan head that withstands against the time with great retention before slowly collapsing to an everlasting bubble layer atop and providing magnificent sticky lacing wave all around.
The aroma is so intense and complex with chocolate in the lead. It is creamy, milky, yet bitter dark. Coffee as well together with roasted malt and suggestion of some smokiness, there is also charred nut and coconut as well as dark bread and vanilla. Hint of citrusy hop and subtle booze can also be sensed through carefully sniff.
Creamy and dark chocolate open up the taste buds together with coffee, vanilla, cocoa, dark bread, some smokiness, and heavily roasted profile. Thereafter, it becomes so sweet but is partially distracted by some heat of burning alcohol and charred nuttiness. The end is all those flavors blended up together along with some crisp and bitterness of hop.
The body is rather full with a bit sticky touch through the palate, quite smooth mouthfeel with low carbonation. Finish is dry.
Very rich chocolaty and coffee Stout, its smoky profile helps to add complexity and quaffable quality, well worthy.
