Nice, fairly clear mahogany color in the pilsener glass. Head disappoints and leaves no lacing to speak of. Rather flat on the tongue, but lots of malt and reminiscent of Hefeweizen mouthfeel. Warm and rich, but with a raw grainy taste. Muddy flavors. I keep thinking of bubble gum. Hops slink out of the shadows with a bitter touch but not much aroma.
Not my favorite Dubbel and I didn't finish this one.
