A rich mouthful at first sip, but hops rush forward instantly. Insanely bitter but no aromatics I can taste after that assault. Seems to have the house style of surprising sugar colliding with hop overdose. Starts out with a hint of promise with the big maltiness. Rapidly descends into total bitterness. Aftertaste can only be described as disgusting.
On the positive side, has decent carbonation and looks innocent enough. Even has some hoppy aroma. I just don't know where they get the Karo syrup flavor. Tastes like a chemical concoction rather than beer to me.

On tap at Pacific Beach Alehouse.
A: Dark orange with a finger of white froth. Retention is okay and there's scattered lacing.
S: Tangerine and orange with alcohol and caramel. Not too pleasant. Overly sweet with a muted hop presence.
T: Bread, caramel, and cardboard with sweet peach and orange. The sweetness is cloying. Alcohol is harsh.
M: Medium body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Too malty, muted hop profile, and cloyingly sweet. Not good.
