On tap at Belmont Station.
A clear orange with a thin white head that falls off rapidly, this looks decent. Nose is sour and acetic and lactic with minimal funk present. Red wine vinegar, white wine vinegar, vanilla, stone fruit. Bright nose. The palate opens prominently acetic with a white wine vinaigrette, floral honey though minimally sweet, limeade. A little too sour and unbalanced, but enjoyable in small doses medium light in body and softly carbonated with a lingering acetic character on the finish. Mild tannins too.

a neat collaboration with the bruery, apparently a special blend of barrel aged beers from each operation. its cool when two heavy hitters like this get together for a beer, obviously the various threads of the blend would be killer on their own, but its fun to have both cultures mix together, this is quite sour, but its also insanely mature, there must be some rather old beer in the blend. it has a pale apricot sort of rusty orange color to it, a little cloudiness but no visible sediment, and a pretty good head for what it is. aroma of sweet dried fruit, almost like a trail mix or something, golden raisin and apricot and mango bits, with a pretty strong cognac sort of fortified boozy element too. i dont believe there is any fruit in here at all, maybe just some wine barrels in the blend, but i could swear there is. nice against the high acidity thats super clean, and with the funky saisony esters behind that too. a good amount of oak, quite sturdy really, lemon acidity and white wine tannins too, wildly complex overall especially when it warms up a bit, traces of caramel and cinnamon somehow, lots of body, old grain, vanilla and whiskey too, tons of layers and its constantly changing, new things to appreciate on each sip. a really enjoyable brew, as good in theory as it is in the glass, and although its too sour to hammer on, its a special treat to get to sip. lovely collaboration here!
