Brief notes below:
Aroma is musty and flat, with muted aromatics across the board. Caramalt. I find none of the usual dubbel characteristics - no dark fruit (fig, plum, date, prune, et al), no Belgian yeast profile. Let's hope the taste isn't as disappointing as the aroma.
Taste isn't muted, but it's reticent. Matches the aroma.
Mouthfeel is generic...smooth, wet, unrefreshing, overcarbonated. Medium-bodied.
Overall, it's a sad attempt at a dubbel, and lacks the Belgian yeast profile you'd expect to guide the beer.

Bottle 11.03.16, refermented in bottle about 14 months. Slightly aroma of dark malts, purple plum, dark bread, licorice and caramel. Dark brown coloured beer, with maroon flashes, slightly hazy. One fingered beige head, fastly reduces to ring. Sour in taste, dark malts, mouldy bread, dark fruits, caramel. Strong sour aftertaste, but in nice belgian-style, also grassy and bready. Bitterness is hardly perceptible, medium fizzy carbonation, alcohol is noble and slightly perceptible. Full bodied, but also a bit watery. Nice aged beer, but nothing fancy.
