Notes are regrettably brief on account of a less-than-ideal review environment:
Bottle in Warsaw. Label advises that this can be aged up to 18 months, moving from a "fresh and fruity" flavour profile to a "dry and complex" flavour profile.
Sweet and fruity, evoking stonefruits, pale malts, and light caramel. Bright plum. It's balanced, but there isn't a lot going on. It's not a shallow beer, but depth of flavour and intricacy could be improved. Lacks the dark fruit characteristics that define quadrupel as a style for me personally...I don't find any fig, dark plum, dates, or prunes. There's also no Belgian yeast character, which is a missed opportunity.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied, smooth, wet, and unrefreshing. Carbonation is a bit too high.
Drinkable and enjoyable, hiding its 10% ABV well. But it's not much of a quadrupel. Best considered a strong amber ale, but it's not horribly impressive in any respect. Well worth trying when in Poland; just don't expect to be blown away.
