"Rich and tasty. A complex full-flavoured chestnut-coloured ale. Sweet malt in the mouth balanced by honeyed hop notes. Best enjoyed with anticipation, a large gathering of friends, or alone with a Wilderbeest on the beach at sunset."
A: Copper, orange color with a thick high retention head colored a light tan hue to match the body, lots of haze.
S: Big wafting yeast with a light caramelized malt, papaya/aprocot sweetness and a soft pop of citrus
T: Starts very sweet tart but not bitter, then moves through to the crystal malt with a grassy, citrus hop finishing mild if not disappointingly flat.
M: On the cusp of medium to light body with an overly proportionate amount of carbonation and a sticky, "drink again to cleanse your palate" feel. Very dry.
O: A gem of "craft" beers, standing alone in a field of Bintang rocks. Although it isn't an expample of its style nor an overly drinkable beer, getting hands on something other then a dry lager is a joy! Has the effect of bitting into an overly ripe fruit, all mush and strange texture with a fermented sweetness that turns the nose.

This beer was amber with a reddish tint and a slight haze. It had a fluffy beige head that was supported by a constant stream of fizzy bubbles and showed good head retention. The aroma was a bit yeasty with notes of honey and crystal malt grain, plus light hops. Bitterness was mild with some green, grassy hops throughout. Honeyed malt sweetness plus a hint of dark grain provided balance. There was a bit of an acidic bite in the finish from the carbonation and it was fairly bitter in the finish. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation (slightly coarse), a bit dry. A more full bodied ale for the tropics, still very drinkable in the heat. A refreshing change of pace compared to the lagers and stouts that seem to be a staple in the region.
