A: Poured from the can into a Palm tulip. Body is clear - maybe it's because I had a bunch of Trillium NE-style IPAs two nights ago, but this beer has amazing clarity. Body is apricot-amber while sitting on the desk, but straw-yellow when backlit. Small whitish head on top.

S: Interesting - strong nose for an APA. Earthy, spicy and piney hops, along with a pilsner malt-type foundation and a bit of grassiness.

T: Again, more earth - more so than expected, at first. Then I get the fruitier stuff: Mango, citrus. But also a ton of piney hops as well, with pine needles doing battle with the sweeter malt foundation. Finishes with a bit of balance, though it leans towards the earthy & piney hops.

M: Lighter side of medium in heft. Fine-bubbled carbonation.

O: Good stuff. Solid APA that's nearly in the "Session IPA" range. Full of flavor for a beer of this strength.

Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a one inch white head that left rings of lacing. Smells of tropical fruits, orange and sweet malts. Tastes of mango, orange, honey and a hint of pine. Finishes mildly bitter, well carbonated, light to medium bodied, smooth and creamy mouth feel.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head.
S: Moderately strong aromas of mangos are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of mangos from the Mosaic hops. There are also some hints of citrus.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer backs in the types of flavors you would expect from an Imperial IPA but is very sessionable given it's light body and low alcohol content.

Poured from a 16oz can into a high sided stemmed beer glass.

Look is a slightly hazy orange with a thin big bubble head.

Lots of orange on the aroma mixed with a bitter peel and a malty sweetness at the end.

Taste is full and thick for a lower ABV
beer, lots of sweet orange honey on the taste. Delicious.

Pours a murky bright reddish orange with an inch of odd white head and moderate carbonation evident. Tons of citrus hops, Fruity Malts, Soap, grapefruit, and light pine. Medium body and low carbonation.

Overall a very good pale, very hoppy.

Hard to quibble when both Citra and Mosaic are used in a pale, and given its pedigree this beer unsurprisingly hits it out of the park. Light bodied but still tremendously flavorful for the low ABV -- brewers ought to forget about "session IPA" and just call their beers what they are. In this case, a delightfully hoppy American Pale Ale!
