" Imperial IPA with gigantic notes of stone fruit and orchard blossoms. Hopped with Apollo, Amarillo and experimental hop 05256"
A new DIPA from Chief and Peekskill? Yes, I'll be right over for a freshie growler....1/2 a growler actually. ( No bargain at $16 for 32 oz and $24(!) for a full one) Oh well you get what you pay for and this fine brew is well worth it...
Pours clouded/unfiltered darker golden, frothy off white head, stays nicely and then leaves quality lookin all the way to the top of the glass sheeting and fields of fine lacing.
Tropical fruits, orange, pineapple, grapefruit all up in the nose.
Simply delicious imperial, loaded with fruity/citric flavor goodness. More pineapple, more grapefruit, and especially more oranges. Low bitterness, high hop flavor. Reminds me of Heady Topper...there I said it...Hopefully this will be in regular rotation....DIPA lovers rejoice...go get some

Growler pour thanks to cavedave at the Ithaca Luminous release.
Pours a cloudy hazy orange, about a one inch dollop of head, and some good little strands of lacing in my travel coffee mug at this lineshare. Ha!
Smells like a good DIPA should- lots of citrus, some orange and pineapple, with some mild pine.
The taste is pretty similar, but pretty great, as I would expect from Chief. He just knows how to coax the shit out of hops. Lots of citrus, some orange and grapefruit, bit of pineapple, pretty bitter, but not astringent, long bitter finish keeps the bitterness lasting from sip to sip.
Medium bodied, crisp awesome mouthfeel. The alcohol doesn't seem all that present.
Not surprised, another great one from Peekskill.
