A: Walnut brown. Good clarity and depth featuring mahogany. Nice sized khaki head with good retention.
S: Faint coffee, biscuit, and caramel.
M: Wonderfully light in body. As it warms a characteristic creamy feel ensues. Still a bit crisp on the edges.
T: Roasted malt drains every bit of toffee sweetness before a big toasted flavor chimes in. English breakfast tea seems right.
Never brash or brazen, but tried and true, it may be offputting to those wanting to squeeze the most juice out of hops. It's surprisingly delicate, and big, spicy dishes may overpower it.
