On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a lightly hazy orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like bubblegum, orangey hops, clove, and Belgian yeast. Odd?
I did some research on this beer, and I can't find anything stating this was brewed a non-standard yeast. However, the flavor here is kinda clovey and funky. I wouldn't call this infected, it just seems like there's some really odd off-flavors here. The hop character is sorta muted, a little bit of orange and grassiness. The yeast character just absolutely takes over here.
This is less than drinkable, with a slight syrupy character.
This is one of the worst beers I've had from Peekskill. I hope this is not a sign that they're declining without Chief at the helm.
