Simple Hibiscus Lime

Pours a striking bright, almost neon red from the can, brief pinkish head that settles to a thin ring. Nose is a vibrant, lively, and a near dead-ringer for Cherry 7up - the lime really shines through, and there is a hint of sweetness that is carried up as well. Taste does not follow, however, and that's a good thing. This one plays very tart, but it's a citrus, rather than lactic, tartness; there's a slight underlying tannic beat and a some subtle sweetness that reins things in. Mouthfeel is moderate, small carb and a little rounded, but drinks easy. This is a good one!
