Celebrating part of St. Patty's Day at Peekskill. I was completely intriuged to see Chief had put out a style that I have I always wished he did at Ithaca
A- a black coffee type of look with an opaque body and slight mocha foam arising to the top that slowly recides. Small lacing on the edges of the pint glass remains
S- the blackest coffee scent you can imagine that mingles with a slight splash of sweet milk/cream as well. A real dry roasted coffee scent is noticed next. The stout seems really focused on a good amount of roasted beans. I'm diggin' it!
T- massive roasted coffee beans that are completely heightened as I tasted each sip. I have had so many coffee brews that go in different directions. IBS goes in the way I like... Roasted coffee beans steering away from sweetness and unfermented sugars. I can tell this brew is highly dosed and committed to the coffee stout style
M- drinkable flavors and ties to an iced coffee for smoothness. I might as well pour it into a dunkin donuts cups, throw some ice on it, and sip it out of a straw all day long. That smooth
O- TOO LATE!!! How ironic... after he leaves, Chief makes the one brew I always wanted him to make at Ithaca. This is a cup O Joe on ice. Very delicious and the perfect way to celebrate St Patty's day. Looks like I have an annual spot to come to for an annual brew.
