Served on tap in a pint glass at Newport Pizza & Ale House in O.B. Pours a clear orange golden color with a thin head.
Smell was originally MIA but came around as the beer warmed. Served rather cold and in a chilled glass so I didn't pay too much attention to things until the beer was half gone. Had a shallow hop nose at that point, orange citrusy and with a malty sweet sense to it.
Taste was likewise with citrus noted through to the finish. Somewhat drying and bitter in the close. Medium bodied yet had a tingly carbonation in the finish, rather surprising given the lack of bubbles/head in the pour.
Note: Served as 'American Strong Pale Ale' and noted on website as 'within the style parameters' of such as well. That said, this beer didn't taste like 7.0% or greater. Unfortunately their site doesn't elaborate.
