On tap at Bangin Burgers in Miramar
A: Pours an amber/copper color with a thin cream colored head that fades pretty fast.
S: I had this out of a chilled glass and I felt like there were smells there trying to escape, but the beer was just too cold to let them out. I picked up some light aromas of caramel and a bit of cantaloupe. Not much else.
T: I wouldn't call this a bad beer. It's a nice standard amber ale. Nothing stand out about it, but nothing that was particularly offensive either. Caramel and a touch of citrus hops upfront with some sweeter malts and a bit of roasted malts on the finish.

I had this on tap tonight (5/12/09) at La Bella, thanks for the pour Danny!
Pours a light copper color with a thin quarter inch of foam, not that impressive on head formation or retention, just average or slightly above.
Couldn't get much out of the aroma but one of the first things I could detect was popcorn. The popcorn aroma wasn't that intense but after picking that up it was quite distracting and it was a bit more difficult to detect anything else. After a few sips I could smell some butterscotch, light toast, but there was little to no hop aroma. Very weak.
Just like in the aroma, in the forefront was popcorn, then sweet caramel in the finish. Thin body, a little toasted flavor, mostly a sweet-like corn candy flavor. Really not that sweet but the hop flavor and bitterness was lacking.
Thin body and medium-low carbonation, maybe the body wasn't that thin but the lack of hops really made this beer uninteresting and quite dull.
