Appearance This is solid black with a full, blackish-brown head. Like ZAP said it certainly looks the part.
Smell The roasty aroma is all there is to this nose. There are no sweets to speak of or much of anything else for that matter. This smells just like it should roasted grain.
Taste The nose comes through in the taste with just a tad bit of raw sugars but otherwise this is a heavily-roasted Irish session stout.
Mouthfeel The bitterness level is pretty high on this light to medium-bodied beauty shop. It will get your saliva glands going and wet your appetite for more, but its not overly harsh.
Drinkability A user friendly dry stout that you could drink all night long.

This one really isn't THAT bad...body is kind of weak...looks the part...nose is burnt malt...perhaps some coffee grinds....taste mimicks that...I let this one warm for about 15 minutes before drinking and it paid off....this would be my choice out of their basics...
