Had this beer at the Essen Christmas beer festival, last sunday. I enjoyed this festival because of the wide variety of Christmas beers.
This one came out of the bottle into a tasting glass.
Very dark fluid. A ring of foam in the glass, Some carbonation. A malty smell and taste and some coffee and chocolate. A special beer.
Edit: This beer was brought into a tasting by RIanne Joosse (no BA). We had a Westvleteren tasting of different Westvleteren 12 bottle dates, end 2013 beginning 2013. After those bottles were gone the bigger work started. Tasted at the restaurant of the best beerbrewer in Holland: De Molen in Bodegraven on the first Easterday 2013. The beer was better than the last time i tasted it

Sampled at Mondiale 2010, mainly because its a lesse known brewery. Very dark brown with lots of creamy white head, and lots of lace. Decent yeasty spicey aroma. A little negative mouthfeel. Decent spicey yeasty X-mas beer, decent for the style. Nothing too outstanding, but worh a try.
