13oz pour at the pub paired up with a nice spicy flatbread. It's my 1st gruit, be easy.
Phyto came to me looking like your average lager with a light copper semi brownish tint with a little bit of foam on the top. I never get a lot of head nor lace at the EBB, but it ain't no biggie. Smells consist of sweet malt with alot ingredients that I cannot place and to be honest with you the taste is indescribable for me as well, read the review below mine to get a good description, Ogl knows what he's talking about. I know the feel was a bit thicker than a average lager, a step below medium, with light carb. A semi spicy finish. I guess this is not exactly beer or it's the farthest from what you expect beer to be, that's why I liked it, very different and drinkable at a mere 6%. Hope to get it again to try to pick out some specific flavors.

On tap at earth bread.
A- slight froth of tan head sitting atop a copper orange perfectly clear brew.
S- vegetative and herbal with fresh cut grass and mossy hit.
T- mild sweetness and a very interesting herbal quality, but its a gruit I should be expecting that. Lots of rosemary and thyme, heather and some other floral notes. Background spice in the finish that reminds me of some odd indian deserts I've had but works well here.
M- medium to thin body with a crisp and lively carb. Slight linger.
D- very nice brew. Not to familiar with the style but this paired well with a tasty flat bread and was quaffed with ease. I might just need to get another.
