Tried on-tap at Earth Bread + Brewery on December 4th. Review from notes. Poured into a 20 oz. glass.

The look is pretty much par for the course for American wheat beers. Pours an orange body with moderate carbonation and heavy lacing. The color is so vibrant that the beer almost glows in the bar light.

The scent is where the connection to your typical wheat beer abruptly ends. The obvious citrus notes are juxtaposed against bitter, peppery hops, a dry maltiness and something familiar that I can't put my finger on (maybe warming alcohol or some burnt graininess).

Taste opens on a fruity note, thanks to light mango and pineapple from the hops, followed by some uncharacteristic licorice notes, nutmeg and rye malt. This is certainly not the traditional wheat beer flavor... but that's what I dig about it.

Mouth is zesty and peppery, brought on by the steady carbonation, and the ending has a deep dryness that is unexpected, but welcome.

This is a truly unique beer this is so out of left field, I initially had to ask the bartender if she didn't serve me the wrong brew. In the end, it somehow makes sense, since complexity, originality and great taste will always defeat the status quo.

It is listed as a hoppy wheat beer.Pours golden with lighter yellow highlight's.Left some decent lacing. To tell you the truth there wasn't much to this beer. Light wheat malts with a slight piney aroma and the Taste is not much different either. Very light, crisp and not overpowering hoppy. Nothing bad about this beer but nothing great either. An easy going beer to have with your pizza.
