They described this as a "Belgian Style Amber" with Ardennes yeast. Kind of rustic, appropriately enough. Hazy amber color in the stubby nonic glass. Modest head but plenty of suds in the mouth.

The classic Belgian flavors in a lighter Farmhouse style. Tangy but not overly tart. Dry fruit flavors with a delicious yeasty bready flavor. A touch of hops in the nose, and just the slightest scratchy bitterness.

One of the tastiest lower-alcohol beers I've had. My two visits to his place were memorable and I look forward to next time. [transcribed from notes - 05/29/2012 tasting]

Pours a dark amber with copper highlights, little to no head. Scent brings light caramel and brown sugar notes, some toast, light fruit, bready with light fruity and spicy yeast esters. Taste a little more focused, essentially a lightly sweet amber ale with Belgian yeasts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Like many of EBB's beers, the fresh grains and malts are the star.
