Labeled simply as a "honey ale," I'll classify it as an amber ale. Golden brown pour, hazy, with a small white head that receded to a ringlet. Aroma was pretty light and distant, sweet with malts and toasted grains. Not a huge blast of honey in the taste, which I think is what my wife expected from its description, but more of a subtle sweetness from said product of a bee's regurgitation; toasted grains and light caramel malts, and very mild earthy hops. About medium-bodied. Maybe a little lacking in flavor, but still nice and smooth and drinkable overall.
