This was not all that great. Looked okay but not a traditional looking cloudiness. Aroma was kinda' non descript.
The taste had hints of clove and banana but was also kinda' watery. Even worse it had a noticeable bitterness which seemed really off character. Felt a little thin.
Just not that good.

This beer pours a fairly clear golden color. The head is white and 2 finger. Retention is average. Some lacing on the glass.
The nose is the fairly standard wheat aroma - banana, cloves.
Taste - well, this isn't as standard. I do get some banana, but I get something else. I don't know what it is, though, but it doesn't quite fit in right.
Feel, is kind of harsh feeling. Somewhat more watery.
It's a beer. I've had worse, but I've had way better hefes.

Poured into a pint glass at the restaurant
A: Light yellow, thin head
S: Generic malt, a bit of spice
T: Light malt, banana, Clove
M: Light-bodied, crisp
O: This hardly counts as a proper hefe. The flavors are there but it's far too light

Not very enjoyable—was expecting more character. Very weak head with no retention. Carbonated fine. Tastes cheap. I expect more from that place. Dry finish

Medium-gold, this beer is slightly darker than the pale lager and completely clear. The head is a good foam with lasting edges and pretty decent lacing overall.
I don't know if the tap lines aren't clean, there's something wrong with this batch, or this is normal. This is unlike any Hefeweizen I've had with the exception that there is Belgian yeast, but only a hint. It really only amounts to a ghost of bubble gum. Otherwise, the main notes are grains and something almost tart. Maybe not so much in the nose, but the taste is more green apple skin and unripened strawberries. If it's not normal, I'd guess maybe the beer wasn't aged and conditioned for enough time and it's probably acetaldehyde.
It's semi-dry in the body, which is light but firm and crisp as well. At least the feel isn't bad.
