Perfectly clear straw color. Beads of CO2 race to the surface. Nice long lasting white head. Lace is bountiful. Aroma is quite spicy and hoppyl But some sweet malt underlying as well. Mouthfeel is slightly prickly and the body about medium-full. Great floral hoppiness to the flavor. This is bitter, but not overly so. Malts are clean and bready. Yeastiness adds just a little doughiness. Finish is dry. Just a hingt of lingering alcohol spiciness. They call this an Extra Special Pilsner and it is special. But I look at it as an "Imperial Pilsner"...and the best one I've had.

My first Imperial Pilsner...poured from a growler....head is limited but figured as much....a regal golden color...clear, but not crystal clear....a slight chill haze....Nose smells more like a pale ale...some leafy tobbaco, canibas on the nose....flavor is very balanced...spicy flavor....the malt load does a nice job complementing the hops....a big beer for sure....I love the taste of this...no nint of alcohol despite the high ABV..Mouthfeel is full, but flatish out of the growlers
This is excellent....the best beer I have had at this brewery by far...GREAT hoppiness, and great malt sweetness mix perfectly..worth seeking out...I don't have much to compare it to in regards to imperial pilsners but this is very good....
