This one, like other Granite City brews, if ok. Lots of nice citrus and tropical fruit aromas waft from the light amber liquid in the pint glass, but the punchy hop flavors are almost over shadowed by sweet caramel malts in the flavor.

Very good citrus forward IPA. Lacks a little body and taste but with some refinement is well on its way to a very well rounded NE IPA.

A: Polished gold, about as dark as gold gets before it can be called amber. The head is a big one with more retention that I've come to expect from Granite City. This thing holds up well, though, a large soft crown that slowly diminishes and leaves a lot of sticky lacing when it does from the top to the bottom of the glass.
S: Plenty of Citra punch on the nose, lots of citrus and tropical fruits.
T: It starts of very juicy with lots of citrus zest and a little balancing sweetness. It is a transitioning beer, though, and it moves from fruity bitterness to a dry but juicy end and finishes with lots of pith. It develops a bit of tang underneath as it goes.
M: The medium body is pretty standard and it stays fairly crisp the whole way whole rolling pretty smoothly as well. It definitely finishes with more dryness on the palate as it sits.
