Poured out of a 16.9 oz glass into one of my weizen glasses, this beer pours a fairly cloudy/hazy medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles fairly rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. Has a white head that's well over an inch thick when first poured that settles to a solid 1/4 inch thick w/ a white ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer's surface and decent lacing. Aromas of some bready malts and some wheat along w/ a bit of banana and clove. A very similar flavor profile w/ flavors of some bready malts and wheat along with some light notes of banana and clove. I feel the banana and clove notes need to be stronger in the flavor profile, they are just a bit too dialed back here for my preference. Has a crisp, smooth, somewhat frothy, slightly creamy, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish. Not too bad, but needs improvement.

Copenhagen 16/10 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Brown label with happy musicians playing fiddle and harmonica at a Taverna.
Pours unclear almost opaque yellow with a big white head. Bubbly. Settles as patchy rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor of stone fruit and oranges mingling with a tart citric scent. Peach and blood orange. Touch of sugar. Tart citrus.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively, tingling, almost fizzy texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish and a tad watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.
Refreshing but short lived.

L- Gold, somewhat hazy, 3mm white head.
S- Bright, comtemporary.
T- Weizenhop notes into dryer edge than DE- norm, almost a lemon facet... hmmm
F- Zesty, bright, dry, touch sharp (tart), high CO2
O- All a bit loudly bright on the palate, more of a youthful brew. Prob well together if a bit over-modern for me.
Bought from SPAR, Martićeva ul. 13, 10000, Zagreb, Croatia. 500ml bottle BB: 01/05/2025 4.6%

From Croatia, it's Dva Klasa, which means Two Spikes. It's a hefeweizen that's advertised as having a crimson red color and cloudy appearance. They also claim to be the first Croatian hefeweizen. In actuality, it's a hazy straw color with white head. The grain is present in the nose. The mouthfeel isn't as sweet and welcoming as most hefeweizens, but instead has a bitterness that persists. Despite the less than optimal flavor, the mouthfeel isn't terrible. I'm glad to have tried it, but I'd pass on this again.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Ul. Ivana Tkalcica location as part of a seven sample flight. It poured a clear golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had nice grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with wet grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.
