Copenhagen 12/12 2022. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Some Rock’N Roll Rooster with a groupie chicken on the label.
Pours opaque hazy orange with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet slightly sugary odor of ripe stone fruit mingling with sharp citrus. Peach and mango. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Solid bitter take on a Indian Pale Ale.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Ul. Ivana Tkalcica location as part of a seven sample flight. It poured a clear copper with white head that left some lace. The scent had bitter hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Quite a nice little (f***in'?) IPA from Zagreb, Croatia. Feels like the IPAs from recent small craft breweries in East Europe, who started making IPAs inspired by the american craft classics, however they make their own version possible in that country.
Well if they can make such IPAs in Hungary or Czech, Croatia is coming up in the movement. Very fresh and fruity hoppy, somewhat rough (unrefined?) though but nevertheless nice. No need to look for something more deeper or complex, this is just what it is: a nice little balkanian craft IPA. And for that it does what it can be expected to. It gives you a good time whenever you need it.

Dark amber that speckles. 3.75
Apples, cinnamon, + a touch of brown paper. 3.25
Sticky caramel, some spicy phenols, then grass, EKG spice + bitter orange. 3.5
Medium, hot, rough. 3.5
Dark, + nose is way wrong. 3 weeks away from expiry - doesn’t bode well. Shows signs of both oxidation + high fermentation, plus English hopping at American strengths. Label says the brewery is going since 1994; they haven’t learned much since. Drainpour. 3.25
